Jap Drama Craze

I became a fan of jap drama series recently. I have caught "Liar Game 1 & 2", "Liar Game- The movie", "Kurosagi" & "Kurosagi-The movie".

"Liar Game" was awesome. It is an emotional and "psychologically cool" drama series. Love the mind twisting games that are played.

"Kurosagi" was great too. In short, it's about a swindler who swindles other swindlers. Love the main character's trademark move "Bang".

Up next, I aim to catch "Code Blue" intro by Bryan and "Bloody Monday" intro by Bernard. You can find jap drama series @ www.dramacrazy.net

I finally can Drive!

I passed my driving test during my 2nd attempt on 6 Dec 2010 =) Yeah! I got 12 demerit points. Finally can drive on road without my instructor & stop spending LOTS of $$ to learn driving!

Outings

Sat's bball game has been resumed. So far so good. Next week, we would try out the new court @ blk 139.

Next up will be attending a primary school outing, in which I meet up with all my long lost primary sch peers. Also, I await for my JC's class outing too. It will be another KTV session =)

Countdown

As I countdown to 2011, I am eagerly counting down my ORD date- 11 Feb 11! After that will be at least a month of freedom & working will then start before uni commences in Aug!

-Highlight was my army trip to Rockhampton, Aussie...Cooling weather during early morning and night & Blazing hot weather during mid-afternoon. My camp is located in a mid of Aussie wilderness...with Kangaroos, Emu, rabbit, galaxy of stars, ocean..captured a couple of nice scenery.

-5 Nov. The date of touch down from Aussie. The date of sadness. It was when I knew my beloved grandmum departed. Didn't get to see her last moment. I sincerely hope you R.I.P. You will always be remembered by all.

-Life goes on and driving is up next. Learn from the previous failure & Practice, practice and practice. That's what in for driving till 6 DEC, the 2nd attempt.

-I have also kicked start my physical trainings for IPPT..Had and will continue to run at least 2.4km for 3 times a week and do static exercises. Latest timing was 10.50.

-Experienced K in Teo Heng karaoke @ Katong Shopping Centre. It has the best karaoke sys in Singapore and has the cheapest deal

From now on...

-I am looking forward to the end my 2 yrs of NS..2 + mths to go...alrighto....& I hope that my understudy WILL come SOON... haha

-Shall resume my weekly bball game soon...catch up with friends....and start thinking what to do after ORD...where to enjoy & then where to work...

Yeah, things are fine now. In fact, life becomes less boring these days. For the past 2 sats, we managed to continue our weekly 3hrs plus bball game. It's nice playing among ourselves and challenging other foreign teams and we would continue this sat.

Last night stayed over at one of my army peers, Lewis' house. We played PS3, watched a movie. FIFA on PS3 was fun. Yeah. The movie is hilarious for some parts but quite disturbing overall.

Today was a no-camp day! We did some discussion about how to improve army stuffs in the morning and follow by lunch @ Marina Sands Resort Area. Thereafter, we played some team building games and created our own kites @ Marina Barrage. At around 3.30pm, we flew our kites. We were kinda of excited to fly kites. Occasionally, kites dived straight down onto the ground but we managed to get most of the instant-made / self-brought kites flew. Hope I won't get sunburned as the weather is hot and sunny.

Alrighto, heads up will be more PT sessions to prepare for my IPPT and I look forward to the long lost $10 karaoke @ toa payoh on sun!

Coincidentally, Guang Liang's latest song, 太天真, suits my situation now. Finally, I sent a msg to clarify the truth and indeed, as thought and expected, i thought too much since the start. It definitely hurts ...however, i'm letting it go le. so no worries. =) Really glad that the msg was sent and a clear answer was given. And certainly glad that we still can stay as good friends.

Last weekend was hectic...watched love cuts - a sad story indeed, played bball...Knew a new friend, Raj, Jorvin's best buddy in poly..He is definitely a jovial guy who just blend into my usual group of friends easily..He certainly has the innate character of telling jokes and making people laugh both girls and guys. Admired at how he attracts girls. Hope to mingle more with him and learn some skills from him. Ha.

Alright, tomorrow gonna catch "Legend Of The Fist - The Return Of Chen Zhen".. and what i need now is sleep, sleep and sleep to recover fr my headache.

21 Km on 12 Sep

Another new achievement on 12 Sep morning...Finished 21 KM in the Army Half Marathon. Running at a decent pace, it was quite alright till 15km, in which it is really about the mind. The last 3 km was painful..yeah..in terms of breathing and aching. Fortunately, I ran with a group of friends and we encouraged each other. Get to enjoy the scenic view of the Marina Bay area..ran up the Shear's Bridge Expressway, F1 track..it was a good experience

He thought there was something wrong but once again, he was wrong. However, it was relieved that he was wrong. Sorry for thinking too much.

He is down with fever (registered 38.9 degree yesterday),sore throat, giddiness since Monday...It was the worst on monday in which he shivered all the way from finishing army stuffs close to midnight back to home...Today got a bit worse with the start of diarrhea. Today is his 2nd day of MC and he would rest as much as possible before he reports to camp tomorrow.

Heart was broken when he unluckily striked the kerb... drove out the circuit and only turned a small round around the public road....inital thought that the assessor looks friendly and perhaps lenient but he was wrong...Knew that he would likely fail but not too terribly...Once again, shocked and surprised, he got -38...fault for insufficient acceleration,etc...Guess that I'm just lack of that bit of luck of getting a kind assessor and not striking kerb...well..it hurts but will cheer up and try again soon!

Listening love songs especially 你不知道的事by Wang Lee Hong is quite emotional these days..maybe it's because of the recent incident. Still, he has to stand up and control himself.

Will try his very best to get out of the double blow. Motivation, smile and optimism are what he needs now. Tommorrow will be better than today! Jia you! ;)

He really did something that has been in him for many years. Yes, as usual, he hesitated but in the end, he crafted one out and vetted through again and again. As the clock ticked closer to that moment, he told himself to send it today or if not, it may drag for another month or even year...He couldn't wait anymore so he took a VERY deep breath before he clicked the button....with heart pounding after every sec it was sent.

He knows this may likely shock her..but still, he still has to try. An one-word reply was what he got and his feeling is really mixed but he did see some hope. And he really hopes that she won't think it is too sudden and it would not do any harm to her. He chatted with her like what he did previously but with a more caring tone.

Nervous, anxious and excited as the night comes closer..He was still deciding of a meeting at night to pass something to her. It took half of his breath to send that text out and a chance was given him. Of course, smile followed. He found an excuse to purchase something during family dinner. He wrapped it as best as possible. It hurts that it turned out to be quite cui. But he tried his best.

He departed to the meeting place with no feet firmly stood on the ground. During the journey, his mind was very busy. Thinking of what and how he should express. Should he pass it to her and say the 2 words? Should he sing the song then he passed it to her? Should he pulled her aside, chit chatted with her for awhile and finally passed it to her with the question asked? He rehearsed a couple of ways to show his sincerity to his best. He stood up. He talked to the air. He sang the song to the air. For every bus that passes, his hand grips his trouser tighter.

Finally, the moment came. He was completely stunned and stood there so obediently without moving. He stretched out the gift and just simply said the 2 words to her in noisy bus engine background. He managed to add on "take care" later. However, She asked if he was going home now and he obediently followed and hopped onto the bus behind hers. That was when he PUNCHED himself in his heart and regretted SO MUCH...Where is his courage man? Why he totally transformed in front of her? It was really painful..He wanted to do more that and should have done more that..He really can't wait to let her to punch him for not saying more...He knows that this isn't his best..

Tomorrow would be the final driving practical practice to prep for my official driving test on wed.

NPD 10 Outing

On 9 Aug 10, I went out with Hui and Dennis to town area. Alighted @ somerset then we strolled ard the Cathay and the Scape. Then we walked towards Marina Square from Somerset. Saw the Leopard tanks and the marching troops @ Suntec City area...Not bad, it was quite spectular...

Finally entered K Marina and started our K Buffet @ 5.45pm. The buffet was quite worthwhile (as there is a 45 % discount)..only costs ard $18 per pax. Food varies from Sushi, fried nuggets, chocolate cakes, miso soup, diam sum and ice cream. Sang for the 1st time 好天气，因为爱，假动作。 The hot favourite song is Jay's 说了再见, repeated for ard 5 times.

Also met up with Hao and Rong. Good outing friends!

I can't wait to get posted out (if it is ever possible) as I wanna some combat to be in my NS life..admin work is tOO boring at times..

I can't wait to ORD coz my office's morale is very low...works seem endless...peers feel very negative...

I can't wait to get back to the civilian world....either to work...or study...missed the friendly civilian worklife and being a student to enjoy all the discounts in meals and freedom

I can't wait to make more friends...especially female...really admire those who always hang out with girls...

I can't wait to say Inception is diamond class, Old Cow Vs Tender Glass is quite laughable & Aftershock is filled tears..

A short review

I realisead that I haven't been blogging for quite a while...Life's so far is quite alright. The Hang Zhou and Shang Hai trip was good =)...Love the cooler weather...cheap stuffs...I won't say too much about this..ha...

Last sun, I assisted in organising a table tennis tournament at CC level at YTSS...It was difficult because of the migraine that i had and it was my first time to organise at this level...5 CCs participated and good rallies were displayed in the game..especially the finals and 3rd/4th placing games...Overall, it was quite well organised and the scoring system went quite smoothly just that timing could be met better.Congrats to Nee Soon East..still the undefeatable champions =)

Have been chasing (not betting, ha) this year's World Cup..and it has been really a roller coaster ride...with a no. of powerhouses already eliminated now at the quarter final stage. My support would always go to the underdogs...ha... love to see them winning from a tough opponent...it is the joy that they achieved that sometimes, can really touch me... I was supporting South Korea, Ivory Coast, North Korea,Ghana and Japan.....Really felt VERY Pity for S.K., Japan, Ghana ...they lost by a very minute margin..really very wasted
Now with their eliminations, I would just support the remaining underdogs for the coming matches (Paraguay and Argentina).

Changed a new instructor as the previous one wanted me to commit to at least 2 times a week, which i can't always achieve due to army events....The new instructor is really a nice and useful person. I could feel his warmth and he seems more understanding and reasonable. Will continue with my 15th lesson tml and hopefully he gives the green light to book my TP.

Trying my best to sleep early at 10 plus during weekdays at least...I have been sleeping for like 6-7 hrs and I would feel quite tired the next day...sometimes I really hope that I could just press the shut down button of my computuer everyday at exactly 10pm...ha

Look forward for more migraine-free days, for an underdog to win this year's World Cup and for getting my driving license soon..

An interesting article regarding how we can conquer our fear to enjoy fearless living:

1. Give It a Name: The fuzzier it is, the bigger it seems. A vague feeling of dread is like a fog: it expands and surrounds us. The actual issue might be small and unlikely, but as that vague feeling it seems unbearable.

The antidote? Define it. Write down on a sheet of paper the details of what scares you. What, exactly, do you think is going to happen? And why, exactly, does that scare you?

Nine times out of ten, you’ll realize the big fear is actually a small matter. And, just like that, the “threat” will be stripped of its worrisome sting.

2. Reframe It: This is a good one. In his book Iconoclast, author Gregory Burns, M.D., Ph.D., outlines the mind of those men and women who aren’t afraid to do the unexpected, the unfamiliar, the outrageous (and courageous). One of the things that set them apart is how they reframe their bodies response to fear.

The average person feels the butterflies in his stomach and says, “I’m nervous. I’m freaking out. I can’t do this.”

The iconoclast feels the same butterflies and says, “I’m ready.”

They take the same responses and mold them into a different story. They give fear a different meaning. It doesn’t mean danger or a time to back down. The heart beating, the palms sweating mean they are stepping up and doing the right thing. It’s a sign that they’re doing something that matters.

I have "opened" my own travel agency recently. Because I have been intensively planning for my family trip to ShangHai/HangZhou coming 2 June to 10 June. I spently approx. 2-4 hours a day for these few days to plan the itinerary. Researching for attractions (intro, address, transport, maps). Liased with my sister who is studying in HangZhou for more information.

Up to now, I would say the itinerary is 90% done. I would need to do more research of the hotels that we are staying in and confirm the locationn of a few attractions.

Feeling much better now...Took MC on last monday.. and couple with this long weekend break, my body has being recovering smoothly.. Thanks goodness...ha.

Ended 12th Driving lesson with main focus on driving test route 3. Learnt that I have to stop early for those small U-turn slot in the centre of a two way road.

Achieved level 54 in BOI (Battle of Immortals). This MMORPG is really friendly in leveling up with its daily quests (some of these are repeatable too). With the help from my peers who seem to know almost everything in the game, it is quite fun playing.

World Cup Theme in FIFA Online 2 makes it nice to play. You can make any country your team and make it the World Cup champion. And South Korea is once the champion.. ha.

3 movies to be watched when I am free...Helen the baby fox, Karate Kid & A-team...

Awaiting for 2nd June..the start of 8 days leave..and the start of another refreshing experience in a far away land..

The Return of Headache and Mild Nausea

[Boo] My head feels HEAVY! Though I slept sufficiently yesterday but things don't seem to get better...it actually became worse this afternoon...drank a cup of bittle herbal tea at the neighbourhood chinese herbal shop but it doesn't seem to be working...and it's really time to get a longer and better rest...so I would visit the neighbourhood clinic tomorrow....

[Yeah!] Driving has been rather positive...proceed to U-turn this morning....and drove through the test route 1...yes, there are some mistakes here and there...and i realise i need to be a bit more daring sometimes...giving way too long can also impede the traffic behind....but felt satisfied with today's progress...

What I need now is to put everything aside & rest, ResT and REST...

Cleared FTT on 15 May 10..so I can finally place the theory portion of driving aside and focus on the practical...Really desire to counter my fear at the RP zebra crossing....and hopefully, obtain my license by Aug/Sep this year...

Went out with the usual 3 friends ... Kai Sheng, Hui and Dennis for dinner @ cathay's shopping mall and played L4D2 for close to 5 hours...cleared all 6 maps...and ended with a realism campaign...

And as we were strolling around HMV in 313 @ Somerset, I found an interesting movie named Helen, The baby fox...another promising simple and touching movie between a small boy and a cute baby fox... this is of course, my another desire for now...

Didn't realise my last entry was quite a while ago....time sometimes really does fly...

Migraine is much better now..especially during this lull period in office...minimal work to do...very quiet environment..sometimes, too quiet...

Driving isn't so good... especially the 6 and 8th lessons..keep stalling the car...still have the fear of driving the car through the zebra crossing near RP...must really learn more oftenly and regularly..but sometimes, the weekend duties really impede me from doing so...but will stay positive..especially that I'm having the final theory test tml.. Jia you!

Watched 2 movies earlier on in early May...Iron Man 2 and Ip Man 2.

The 1st "man" movie is nice because of its action and high tech showcase...very cool and amazing indeed but I felt that there is not much climax.. or should I say, not high enough..especially the bad guy is knocked out shortly..... (3.5/5)

The 2nd "man" movie is admirable and action packed...my biggest take away is always the respectable character and spirit possess by Ip Man...he is kind, reasonable and really fights not but for the rights...in fact, I'm touched some scenes in the movie...esp when they are fighting for the dignity of chinese kong fu... & of course, the fighting scenes in it are world class.. (4.5/5)

Planning for HangZhou/ShangHai free and easy trip is on the move...progress made..with ShangHai's hotels booked....now left with the itinerary....will and must plan after my FTT this week as the fly off date is 2 June...

And ya, not forgetting, recently started playing Battle of Immortals (BOI) introduced by Bernard and Simon...another MMORPG...definitely it's fun now as it's new...and more fun with accompanies...so far, level 32..like the pet item in the game....

Alright. Shall end off here. Will continue to aim for more fullfilling and better life especially during my NS time =)

Migraine has come back again this week!!! Currently, trying a method that Rong taught me...that is to have panadol always by my side so that if there is any attack, i will consume it immediately...and it works for the 1st day...not really for 2nd day...but no worries, this won't be my long term approach...

I'm seriously quite exhausted from the "80% starring at computer" job in my office....this, I believe, triggers or worsen my migraine...The ache are felt at the sides of my head...not really painful but it really impedes my thinking at times...

On the other side, some fortunes came about...Won a 1 carton of Cool Rhino...can't even remember which contest that I have participated...lol..but never mind, after all, it still feel happy to win a lucky draw...and AVIVA is paying back a bonus of 40 plus back (For most NSF)...ha..

My migraine is still in action as I'm typing this...oh gosh...when will this ever end....

Had terrible headache this week but it has become much better now...thanks for all the concern from you guys....

My NS branch cohesion @ VivoCity & Sentosa was a good one-day relief from work as well as enjoyment...Sprinted,perspired as we raced in VivoCity in the morning...my team managed to emerge 1st.. good teamwork guys =)...Hang out at Sentosa beach for soccer, frisbees, swimming..& the obstacle course....Ended the day with a treat @ Earl's Swensens by my branch's superiors.....Thanks for all! (esp to the organising com)

Recently, I have watched 2 movies that are good in its own way....
1) Shutter Island-A misleading horror trailer that turns out to be a heart pounding thriller with an unexpected twist. (4.5/5)

2) Ice Kacang Puppy Love - A simple, funny & familiar romance story especially with the appearance of Cao Ge(the hilarious ah beng), Ping Guan(the handsome singer) & Liang Jing Ru (the ice barley girl) [3 famous Malaysian Chinese singers] (4/5)

4th driving lesson was more fun...Stalled the car at the veri beginning as i forget to control my cluth...oops...after driving 2-3 rounds at the usual area, finally drove out into the "more-realistic" roads...with all the actual traffic conditions that one would face...and gear was up one level higher to gear 4....looking forward to the 5th lesson

The journey these days have been rough..yup...stressed out with work in camp...plus the migraine that he experienced..things got quite worse last week...fortunately, it turns out to be better this week...

Completed 3rd driving lesson...up to 3rd gear now....and turned round and round.....

Satifised with his new HTC Snap non-camera...just that it occassionally produces a click sound...will try to resolve it soon...

He really wants to break his dull,repetitive routine....

Now...most importantly...he needs a break..and yes, he will have a full day branch cohesion @ Vivocity/Sentosa tml & half day off on thurs...

Drive? Completed 2 official driving lessons with a competent private instructor (i will give 4.5/5, he is veri good man!) so far. 1st lesson began with much talking...the basics..very detailed...with the emphasise of BITING POINT!

Began driving a bit more today (2nd lesson)...from controlling the biting point (forward & reverse) and driving at 1.5 rev/min...doing a couple of turns (need to smoothen my hand turning co-ordination...3 & 9 o'clock!) & lane swapping...

Was quite delighted when he said that I am slightly better than some drivers at this stage..but it's only the start...so muz be prepared for more to come...

Mass? Yeah...still in the progress of gaining mass....so far, i've gained 4kg since enlistment.....Gym at least 1 per week during stay-in days...trying to increase fr 7.5kg-10kg load....changing my diet to hopefully 4-5 meals a day...eating more meat/protein...

Sleep? According to one of my friends, to gain weight...one has to sleep at least enuff (8hrs) or more...still trying very hard to sleep earlier....have to get rid of my habit of using com for too long...especially when nothing productive is accomplished as i use...

Alright, lets cut the long story short....Look forward to my next driving lesson on sun...Look forward to watching IP man 2 end of apr...Look forward to change my bad habits...

Spoilt my MP5 player.....now dying from lack of music in life...ha...so I'm desperate in wanting to listen to my favourite music...so intend to get HTC SNAP non-camera...for both the benefits of getting an in-built MP3 player & to replace my low class samsung phone that doesn't even has a virtual calender (a useful tool in my NS office)...

and realised that it has been tiring to finish NS work then go for teaching lesson....on weekends, hang out with friends till late and had to wake up early for weekend duty....Must really plan time well and consciously stop myself from using com late especially XP..

excited about driving.....really looking forward towards my 1st official lesson with my private instructor this sat...

plan plan...have been garnering info about HangZhou & ShangHai,China...as my family will be flying there to visit my sis who is studying there for 3 mths (part of her diploma course) & of course, to visit/shop the famous attractions....so far, i got xihu, linyingshi,hangshan.........more to come and must really plan a good 9 days free & easy trip

Don't know what to write for title..so just left it blank..ha....

I have watched 2 movies recently...different genres but nice in their own ways...1st is the thrilling "Kidnapper".. acted by Christopher Lee...The effects may not be as professionally done as those Hollywood movies but the storyline is definitely comparable...the twists and links in the movie makes it exciting...it is also heart-warming at times...but just be careful that it may be a bit too bloody for some.... 8/10

2nd is "Departures", a Japanese movie screened 2009 or 2008...can't remember..ha... it's about a story of a guy, whose job is to make up and clean those who have departed from the world.....simple..not many speeches...heart-warming...and an unique movie...7/10.

Recently, I like 2 songs very much... 匿名的好友 and 记得....the smoothing and gentle genre makes me feel very relaxing, calm and peaceful....*listen to them in my playlist =)

Driving wise...Will be starting my 1st lesson next sat...once a while have been reading the FTT book to learn how to drive.....

Office is fun...with many jokes cracked...more friends made..more sports games played...more gym and exercise going on

Ups and Downs

Oh well, life so far so good.. with some ups and downs....

Ups:

-Passed Basic Theory Test ...Obtained PDL & will be taking Final Theory Test on 15 May

-Finally sang 爱不单行 X 3 @ kbox cineleisure on friday..yahoo..what a long wait

-Finally watched a movie .. Being Human.. a Jack Neo's film...which i find is somewhat different from his past movies...yes, as always, there are many humourous scenes...like the "Sorry-sorry" scene, the "opera" kinda of conversation between Lee and NoNo & of course, the NGs scenes...he used a no. of special effects /twists to make the movie different too.

Downs:

-My new pri friend failed his English and didn't do that well for maths and science....I really need a change in my teaching method....will really do my best to change and make sure you improve in your mid-year! I need your co-operation too to be more serious during the teaching session =)

-Lack of Zzz... haven't been sleeping enough these few days...due to poor time management...will control my timing more consciously from now on man.

-Need to burn the coming sat for NSmen route march... the following sun for COS duty... ah..quite painful but at least can get off for the 1st one...

and i have been thinking hard about many aspects in life....family....friendship....what to study in Uni....relationship.... really hope to make progress in all & especially, the last aspect ... ha....

~I'm able teach my new primary school friend and interact with him. It's really a pleasure to teach him as he is an outspoken & funny boy with a good nature. Apart from earning extra income, it provides me a chance to play a part in the education of his life. Also, I have the opp. to guide youngsters along in their early lives and teach them not to learn the wrong things.

~I'm able to go home and interact with my family especially my grandmum whom I like to crack jokes with her & make her laughs.. sometimes, her laughter is non-stop..

~I'm able to hang out with friends on nearly every sat...at least a basketball game. Sometimes, sang karaoke with the usual clique of friends and recently, with my sis,mum and my cousin's family. We went to Topone karaoke located at Bugis. It was quite cool as we could create the white 'smoke' effect and on the disco lights...Can't wait to sing 爱不单行 on this sat..lol

~I'm able to make progress in achieving my driving license. I have been studying for my basic theory test and will be having the actual test on 13 mar. Really hope that I can clear it smoothly ^^

~I'm able to make new friends in my new Jurong camp especially with people who share similar views as me. Also ppl with various traits- The joker, the "sicko".... It's them that keep the daily routine office work fun.

-A word of badmouth hurts an innocent deeply. A sweet-talk enlightens one instantly

These few days...

So what did I do for these few days?

At my new camp, performed various tasks for 5 weeks already...and I missed a couple of fun events Xl... like the branch cohesion on 10 feb.. where my office went for a paintball shoot while I stayed in camp to do duty...Up next, I will be the conducting spec for fri's PT...I cross my fingers hope that I can remember all the warm up & cool down exercises...

At home, have been chasing the episodes of 海派甜心/Hi my sweetheart until the 13th episode as of today...really lots of twists in the story and many heart-hurting sad scenes...my vision becomes blur
more often then the 1st half of the drama...it's really an enjoyable ROMANCE drama.... bought a few more clothes from the korean online web.. gmarket....namely a polo t and a long sleeve shirt.. they are really inexpensive!

At the shopping mall, bought a pink polo t-shirt and a pair of white-greyish jeans in northpoint's.. It's really the 1st time that I successfully bought my clothes by myself and with friends... as usually i bought online or don't really buy in the past...

At the courts, I have been playing soccer (mostly the street type) during my camp's healthy lifestyle session or with my friends in my neighbourhood.....at 1st, i like to be the goal keeper as I like to defend in nature.. but later, i tried the striker role.. and really, i'm better in defending than attacking.. ha...really hope that I can transform from a boo boo newbie to this game to at least an "ok ok" football player.... and also, played bball with my usual clique of friends..

Alrighty, lets enjoy & celebrate the next 3 days... for our hardwork (in sch/work), for our family & friends who have been always there for us.. HappY TIGeR YeaR!

Recently, I have been catching one tawian star drama called "海派甜心"...The story mainly focus on romance and it really has an interesting storyline....and very comical too...the drama can make you laugh and cry at the same time....Not forgetting, it has many very nice songs.. especially 爱不单行,my favourite today

It was on 29/1/10 at the street soccer court near blk 325 from 6pm-8pm, I played a soccer match together with my primary school friend and with about 8 strangers. How did that enlighten me? Ha..

I am enlightened by the game because it made me become more interested in soccer. I played the role of goalkeeper for most of the time as I've a patch of infection on my left foot. Managed to block a no. of balls but some did went in too. Sorry bro! Oops XD Really hope that i can play soccer more oftenly man =) In particularly, street soccer as it is more enclosed thus, more challenging.

A new friend that I made in the game enlightened me too... as he has almost the same traits as me....in particularly, **we don't scold vulgarities **=) In fact, I'm glad that there are still ppl like him in their more mature years who seldom or never scold vulgarities and have a rather positive character. Some more, wherever you go, you will commonly see teenagers or even kids using implicit language. In particular, this can be commonly seen in neighbourhood bball and soccer courts. This, to me, is really not favourable as the young children would get influenced negatively :( There was once i even thought of creating a company of social workers or counsellors or ''accompanies" ,who are ard my age, that can help to guide the children in such situations. But today's encounter with this sec 3 guy gives me a relief or you can say, a sense of hope. Lol. Really hope I can share my ideology with him and together we can create a better future for the young. XD I'm really thankful for this chance of meeting him =)

Enlighten again by the other 6 players in game. They are mainly foreigners who come from probably China, Phillippines, Thailand... and the main thing is that.. they are very friendly =) Really enjoyed playing with them. Though they are ard mid 20s - 30s, they still don't mind playing with me, my p5 tutee, the sec 3 guy that I mentioned and another sec 2 guy. The way that they cracked jokes are really different from what usual Singaporeans would say and they are Veri hilarious.. Really laughed a lot as I guiding my team's goal post. HAHAHA.. Lol..

Conclusion? Play more soccer @ the street soccer court. ;)

Yeah man, posted to Jurong Camp as an ops spec. It has been 1 plus weeks since I was posted there and since then, I'm under studying the current ops spec...How's the environment there & what's my job scope? Hmmm....Environment? The camp is rather rundown but the staffs there are friendly and approachable. Of course, in any place, there are people of various personalities. Some are more out-spoken, some are quiet, some have their unique habits... Job scope? A mix of some specs jobs...I can become a temp PTI who will conduct warm up and cool down exercise during the odd days run/games...or a temp MP to escort NSmen to DB and release them...or as an arts & crafts master in which I helped to decorate noticeboards, laminated design cards....or do my main job (which I'm still learning) like prepare & hangover ops boxes during In-Camp Training (ICT),ration transfer, book locations mostly for NSmen (the reservists)...ha, really a myriad of jobs right?

Life so far is going alright.. down with quite a bad sore throat these days ...felt pain just by swallowing saliva....this is worsen by my previous karaoke session in which my voice breaks after 2-3 hrs of singing... ouch..XD

Yeah man! Finally received my posting today that I'm posted out to Jurong Camp as an ops spec! The wait for me is nearly 4 months and today, my 1st resolution came through. Heh. Finally can get out of OOC life and do something productive =) Back today to clear my offs before I report to the camp on mon.

The New Year holidays + Off-days

Thurs-Fri was the countdown. I had a shiok 2 hrs of badminton game on FRI afternoon with Maung, Ka Tat, Kai Sheng and Xing Long. It had been ages since i last played and I managed to get my feel back =)

One of the most intense or should I say fun bball game happened on SAT. The energy and competitive level of us were low at the start but it slowly built up. We ended the night with a 3 vs 3 bball full court match. Though my team lost to the other with a score of 28 vs 50, the game was very fulfilling and fun. And definitely, it was tiring. ha.

SUN-karaoke @ toa payoh. The new combination of Edmund, Jun Kai, Benny, Jorvin and I went for a good & cheap =) 5 hours karaoke session @ toa payoh. Yes, everybody was a bit shy at first. Nobody wanted to touch the control and so, I took the 1st song and started singing my usual warm up song "勇气". As time passed, the ice was broken and we felt more comfortable. We began singing duet and even attempted female songs..lolz...Ended the day with a dinner @ NP's foodcourt..

The next day (MON)? Ate breakfast in Bugis area with my dad and ah ma..then later on, together with my ah ma, we went to the Guang Yin temple...I prayed and hoped for a better year for my family, myself and friends =)....We passed by the renovated market near the temple....only some shops are opened.. the rest are closed or unoccupied...At ard 9.45am, we hopped on 851 and began travelling towards Yishun...

Ding Dong, we alighted at Yio Chu Kang and I went to apply for my driving course....but oops... I forgot to bring my 11B/IC.. so I bought the theory books....nvm, I still can register and take the basic test on the same day =) & I officially finished the book "My promise" that I borrowed abt one month ago....I know it's slow as i take my time to read..... will work harder to read more books...

Continued with watching the American tv drama "Meteor" online... It's another disaster show about the destruction caused by gigantic falling meteorites....the highlight is on a scientist who is trying her best to stay in touch with the main control force but she met many obstacles along the way...together with many other short stories of other characters, this show is certainly worth watching with 3.5/5 for me =) Watch the promo video below. TUES was nothing much.. Just continued with this show and went for a good 45 mins swim @ Yishun Safra in the evening. Wala, the feeling is great after not having swimming for abt a month. Ended the day with a quick dinner with Ah ma, mum and sis @ a neighbourhood coffee shop. Got to go back to camp tml with physio appt as a start of the day.

Oh ya.. it seems that i have left out my new year resolutions...what would they be?
-Get POSTED OUT !! (rather desparate) =D
-Obtain my driving license
-Read more story books & continue with my helping book
-Improve & maintain my fitness
-Save money (for the future)

& maybe more will come along the way XD

Had a birthday dinner with family later in the evening to celebrate my bro's bday.

Watched the movie "Sherlock Holms" at Yishun GV... it's a detective movie....a rather unique movie..it's nice to see how the detective Holms solves the mystery by looking for tiny clues along the way..with much humour inside too...4 out of 5 =)

11pm-the time in which we headed to City Hall station for the countdown! We squeezed, navigated at a decent pace through the crowd so as to get closer to Marina Bay for the fireworks. Just nice when we reached the furthest we can go, the firework started within 2 mins. Waves of scream and cheering came as the "fire works"! After the firework, we took some group photos...thanks to Maung's camera phone =)

Back for a short 1/2 days breather...Went for a short PT session @ Yishun Park juz now.. not bad.. did one more set from before...then will return to camp tommorrow morning for 24 hrs complex GUARD DUTY... yes, it's really feels down doing duty on a public holiday.....ha.. but I try to take it positively as far as possible XD...... Looks like I've to sing "Jingle Bell Jingle Bell Jingle All the WAY" in camp... lolz..Merry X'mas!

It's kinda late so i gonna make this short.... Yes, really went to the past...Sat...rushed back home from Jurong Camp to join in 4e8 class outing @ Dhoby Ghuat...Ate Acia there..with free flow of ice cream and drink......Tried Dory Fish with melted cheese.. find it not bad....then we strolled to Esplanade Garden....the view is nice..especially the flyer...and saw a couple of stars in the dark sky....luckily we are able to chiong for the last train...reached home @ nearly 1am

Today? No no.. I should say yesterday as it has passed 12am....lolz..Met up with Dennis and Kai Sheng....and we played l4d 2 @ Dhoby Ghaut in the noon....and along the way, we talked a lot about our Pri sch times....all the people...the unforgettable incidents...our old eye-candies....we really laughed a lot..lolz

Back home this afternoon and watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"....It was certainly an UNUSAL Drama with romance, friendship.....where Benjamin began his life as an old man and died as a small child...death is a common visitor in this movie... it comes with a smoothening melody....touching at times...definitely worth 2 and 1/2 hours of ur time for an UNUSAL movie...4/5 =)

Busy helping out for the combined arms parade during the weekdays... It's rather sad to see my friends getting their 3 chervons when i'm still a CPL...but still, health is more impt. ha....

Did what? L4D and good chit-chat session abt the pri sch days on sat... and sometimes, I really hope that I could travel back to the past...& stay younger...ha.... Bball yesterday...Swimming/Running today... Also, I just added 2 more songs(though they are old) into my playlist...hope u guys like it..

And I discovered a new set of PT: 4 sets of (4 X reverse chin up, 4 X pull ups, 4 X Dips), 30 push ups (10 X normal, 10 X Diamond, 10 X Spider)... When it comes to the 3rd set, it was challenging...but thanks to Jorvin's friend who assisted me, I manage to carry on..

Hang out with long-time-no-see friends this weekend...Xing Long came to my hse and we played com for the whole fri afternoon...We were veri into the facebk "Guess the sketch Challenge"....then played bball @ 8pm after the rain subsided with him, Ka Tat, Jorvin and Jun Hui...it was not bad...Sang k @ toa payoh on sat afternoon with Kai Sheng, Dennis, his gf and Jun Hui...later on, 4 of us went for L4D @ Dhoby Gaut...the match was exciting.. with people alerting each other...n screams of "save me! save me!".. lolz...the game really bonded us well..and better...

Later on will PT with Jorvin again @ the usual location..Yishun Park...Alright, don't wish to write too many of the happenings like the previous weeks...Will end this entry with a meaningful quote that I came across in a sad romance story:

FRI? Practically used com nearly the whole day...ha...yes.. I know it's bad....so I have been trying to break my com "addiction" habit..ha...

YesH! The change happened on SAT... went out for lunch @ Manhattan Fish Market @ northpoint with friends....the fish & chips is really nice..worth trying....Bowl @ Yishun Safra with some long-time-no-see friends like Jin Cai and Elan....Next up was the weekly Bball session...Everyone including Ka Tat, Wei Rong, Kai Sheng and Jorvin n myself are quite on form... It was really one of the best session... NiceZ & It's realli fun guys! Later on, went for dinner/supper...

What's up for 2dae? Com for the afternoon.. then went for 1-2 hrs good of PT session with Jorvin...Finally get to slowly go back to my usual run & PT...It was really veri RefreShInG.....Haven't been feelin so great and satisfied since mths ago..lolz...

Plan for TML? Must continue my 2 X swimming sessions per week.....Start reading some story books to improve my english...so as to pre for the tonnes of reading that I would encounter in Uni....thanks for telling some gd authors' names! Progress of my Psycho book? VERI SLOW!!... I must realli get more active in reading that.. for my study...for my future..and for my future her XD...Jia you! Qiang ge!.. like what some of my NS frenz called me..lol...

Have been buying some unique and cheap clothes from a korean online shopping website...manage to get a couple of t-shirts with some unique designs...and also ordered some polo-tees.....

it's quite safe as ur money is transferred to the HQ of gmarket's account ...n only when u received the item and u clicked it on the website, then they will transfer ur money to the sellor's account...You've to use Ibanking for this transaction that can be applied online as long as u're above 16 =)....

Yes, performed guard duties for 2 consective days...Volunteered on thurs.. then as I was happily packing my book out stuffs....a guy came and called to do another duty on fri....ouch...that was my 1st reaction....But looking at how difficult it has been for the IC to find ppl, I helped out this time round.....

Surprisingly I am not that lethargic this morning after I bath at home... so used com....as usual, facebooked, watched Amazing Race, played a bit of FIFA...wanted to play bball but a no of ppl are busy.. so didn't play....

Never mind, tml will be good =) Going klunch @ Jurong Safra with frens....another round of karaoke....then going for 1 or 2 movies in the afternoon.....hopefully there is time to swim too... and later @ night, booking in again... that's all XD

Felt really fulfilled during this weekend......Sang karaoke on sat night....yeah...finally get to do that....sang some usual songs like 天堂，彩红，握你的手 and some never-sing-before songs like 纯真，我真的受伤了，做你的男人.....went out of tune for some songs.... as usual, can't reach some high keys...but it was fun with the 3 of us.. Edmund, Kai Sheng and I screaming for some crazy songs.. ha.....it was 7-10pm

Sun....played bball from 4pm-6pm......went for family dinner after that..... then, my dad drove around Orchard Road to view the lightings.....Quite beautifully done....with 3 stretches of 3 main colours... white, blue, red if i'm not wrong...

Today...ate breakfast with dad and ah ma... then accompany ah ma to her usual praying place @ Bugis.....it brings the old memories when I visited with her more frequently when I was young....

Afternoon went to watch "My girlfriend is an agent", a korean movie.... How was it? I will it's a MUST-WATCH comedy romancE with a bit of heart-warming scenes here and there.... really veri nice.......4.5/5... one of the greatest movie I have watched this year.....go watch if u wish to hav a gd laugh.... Later on, went swimming @ Yishun Safra.... fortunately the greyish clouds remain calm.....& here I'm back..

Finally get to go out more often than before...the feeling is really more fresh...guys, if u have been stuck @ ur com for long hours, it'll be good to go out for a while......go for a jog,swim,hang out with friends..It's good for ur health both mentally and physically =D

-After an end will be a start. So worked hard till the end & u'll get to enjoy at least awhile during the start

Back again for the weekend break......What I did do this week? Complex duty, Day duty and another day duty on tues,thurs,fri....finally got swim 30 laps on thurs'at Jurong Safra...really veri de refreshing...

So what's up? Going to the long-awaiting karaoke session tml night @ the $10 chinatown karaoke club...yes, it's budget but the quality is quite good... with free flow of drinks n one bowl of sharksfin soup..

Hope to swim at least twice a week & hopefully at least 60 laps in total each week....so i gonna swim on this sun or mon...n hopefully can a bball session on sun's evening too...

With a day off on mon, I'm gonna accompany my ah ma to her favourite praying place @ Bugis...It really has been a while since I have been there with her here...

Driving? I think I have to wait till my posting to come, which will be soon, so that I can make booking for the theory lessons and test..

Other things to do? Facebook, watch some good movies, continue catching Amazing Race 15....ha..

Did a couple of stuffs during this long weekend break.....

Explored new applications of facebook like rockriot, pool, create a quiz abt myself, keep playing guess the sketch challenge... it's really fun.....

Also watched Cloudy with a chance of meatballs on thurs & Final Destination 2 and secret on the net during the weekend....

learn some guitar techniques.. frankly, it's really hard to start as there are just some many words and it's veri technical n it's not easy too... but i will try my best to keep trying XD...

Also went out with friends on sat for a short ball game...then dinner....

Hopes for next week? Sleep early...have been using com passed mid-nights for this weekend.. really a bad bad habit.....

Sleep just enough...i came across an interesting article stating that american doctors said that sleeping less 8 hours and more than 10 hours have higher chance of getting some illnesses..but i've been sleeping for like more than 10 hrs this weekend... so must sleep early & sleep just right next week....

Starting learning for driving theory test....really hope i can start =) & continue reading my helping book & to keep the momentum going..

Finally, play SportS!! Yahoo!.. this wed will be the end of the 2 no-strenuous-sports-weeks... so i can continue with my usual and hopefully, new sports & exercise...Yeah man!

Tml will be physio....then at night till tml morning...perform guard duty.

Was pondering what to do today after returning back from camp.... then I recalled that I wished to watch some good old movies that I have missed and...ta da, I remembered and managed to find a Jay Chou's romance movie that was screened a few years back....不能說的秘密.

My feelings towards this movie? It begins with a simple and cute romance between the 2 main characters....Felt that the couple is veri blessed that they are happily together.... but as the story goes, their romance becomes a sad, unexpected fantasy.

It's really funny to see how the couple get together with one another in the beginning & can pick up some tips of romance too ;)...As more of the truth is revealed near the end, you will more sad till the end of the movie (Warning!: You may tear XD)

I will give 4/5 for A funny/cute(@ the start), heart-warming romance story....不能說的秘密..

Back for a day off tml....Watched 2 episodes of the latest Amazing Race 15....facebooked....felt quite exhausted mentally due to lack of Zzz after the 24 hrs sispec duty ytd.. will sleep early today.....

must really engage in some exercises this week...especially swimming since I can't do many sports after seeing a physician..

Within a short moment, 4 days of break gonna end...going to book in tonight @ ard 9plus to perform guard duty on sun.... really awaiting for what will happen the coming week...will I get my new posting?...hopefully the new posted camp is near my hse too.... either Khatib,Chong Pang, Mandai, Nee Soon, Sembawang or Seletar...

Ended? Yes, the admin work (i.e. carrying of heavy stuffs like sandbags and accumulator & burning lots of time) for AARM is finally over.... Though the result isn't perfect, we have tried our best.....So now getto enjoy 4 days of break from today to till sat....

Treated? Since after my back injury somewhere in sep, I haven't seen any ppl to at least alleviate or prevent my injury to worsen.. Fortunately my dad has linked with a chinese physician.. and this morning.. I went to see him....

1st, he will examine which parts of my body feel pain when he pressed it...ouch, it's realli quite painful when he pressed some parts of my body.... I believe it's something to do with the nerve... then.. he started twisting of my bones and you will hear the cruck sound....the gd thing is that after that, I really feel painless when he pressed on the same parts =) But definitely, as what he said, I have to take care myself by sitting properly, not doing too physical straining activities....and would feel ache for the next 2 days..prepared mentally for that....

Will use this break for rest & recovery, play com and enjoy & engage in less strenous sports....

A blackout happened last nite @ ard 11pm in my block....and the ppl made a lot of noise that I couldn't sleep well....and slept through the nite without fans.....
Discovered a veri nice 抒情歌... 做你的男人 by 张信哲... though there is an age gap between me and the singer.. but this song is really smoothing and nicez.. so I've added it in my player =)
Back home @ 4plus and played com...facebooked again... FIFA....

Hope to do some physical activity tml....n take a gd rest then report on sun for more work..

Why do we need someone else?

I came across an useful and interesting tip from motivation123....it tells us why do we need another person to accompany us to achieve a goal...the person can be ur fren/parent/silbing/love one....the reasons are really very valid and interesting...

It begins with a story that a person keeps wanting to go Italy for backpacking and he does nothing much but just more talking....the help comes when he talks to Curt about it, his/her an up-for-anything roommate....So why do we need an accompany to achieve something?

Anticipation Exploded: When I told Curt what I wanted to do, my excitement surged. We were like a father and son playing catch, tossing ideas back and forth for hours. I would mention a place I wanted to go. He would tell me about a site he wanted to see. On and on it went with each new idea adding to the excitement.

Fear Shrank: Alone, fear wins. But with a friend, it's a fair fight. I hate to fly, as you now know, but I got over that fear with Curt's help--I should say nagging. Whatever the case, it's easier to do scary things with someone by your side.

Brains Doubled: He knew things I didn't know. I knew a few things as well. (Not much.) This is the most obvious perk of having a partner: he or she doubles the brainpower just by showing up.

Resiliency Grew: The benefits go on and on, but I'll end with one I found useful more than once during our trip. I am terrible with direction, so I got us lost many, many times. (I once got lost in the halls of my high school...as a senior.)

2 days off!

Yesterday..3.50am..my alarm rang and then I proceed to help out on the actual day of the AARM opening ceremony...the feeling is tired.. after waking up at around this time for the past few days....the program went quite smoothly..... recovery of the sandbags and stores are more efficient with the use of a wheelbarrow and a vehicle that is found in golf range.....back to camp, we cleaned the weapon...and our superior told us that we are given 2 days off ! =)
Back home... facebooked....played FIFA online...surf the net.... then slept ard 12 pm plus

Slept for nearly 12 hours today...facebooked again...going for a family dinner this evening to celebrate my ah ma's bday.... will be going for PT later and then maybe going for a movie later in the night... will make full use of these 2 days to rest & recover as well as to enjoy and relax =)

Woke up @ 4.15 am on fri &4.45am on today for the rehearsal of the AARM (ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet) @ Nee Soon Live Range...Help to set up the confetti on fri....then changed to firing GPMG (a rather mini machine gun) today.. It was quite cool and fun actualli..can fire 200 rounds continuously on Mon, the actual day..hopefully the gun won't have stoppage(= bullet jam /gun has become faulty)... as usual, filled and carried and shifted sandbags on these two days....

But one bad thing, I kept getting mosquitoes bites..... got about 8-10 today.. dunno why my frenz dun get it but I do....maybe my blood is attractive?..lolz

It's gonna be a busy weekend too for tml.. Volunteered to help out to set up camo netting from 2pm-4pm @ Nee Soon Range.....booking in the night tml and sleep early as I needa wake up at 4am on mon to set off.....yes, it is quite exhausting.. but it will be all OVER on mon..
Work hard this week & mon and enjoy the day off on next fri =).. Looking forward to the Long weekend XD

I was given early book out today (4pm) and coz I have to help out this sat, so I decided to go home today. The feeling is really great to be at home! Whoa..Lol....After changing, I went to Yishun Park for a 30 mins Physical Training session..it has been awhile since I PT there... the feeling is refreshing and nice...ate the tasty home cooked food.... then watched a bit of TV...played facebook.....
And one of my NS frenz introduced me to a website that does online buy/sell service as I wished to buy some clothes... the clothes are really quite affordable then outside..I'm still quite new this website, I will explore this weekend...It includes fashion, beauty & sports, electronics & motors, mom & baby, home/living, entertainment stuffs..

A Must-watch Heartwarming Movie

I came across this korean Movie in Xiu Bin's blog and after watching it, it is certainly touching and emotional...It is about the story of a young, mischevious boy and his grandmum living in her rural hut... through small and simple acts, you can see the sacrifice that the grandmum made.... minimum conversation but many small yet meaningful acts... though this is the 2nd time that I have watched, i teared tremendously especially towards the end of the movie... & I have learnt especially that simple acts can bring about a very large implication..
This is certainly my type of movie...touching and emotional kind.... i give it a 4.5/5 for a VERY touching and interesting movie.... I manage to find the movie online and here are the links for the movie (The Way Home):

Actualli I know of another korean movie about a boy and his dog, the movie is very touching too.. will try to find it and post here...enjoy this in the meantime =)

The Children Day's & Mooncake Week?

Mon: As I am temporarily performing a 7.15am-5pm duty, I tried to go home from my camp (near Joo Koon) to Yishun...the trip took about 1.5hrs...It really feels great to be @ home XD... slept at ard 9.25pm and so that I can report at 7.15am in time...

Tues: Woke up 5am in the morning and by 5.20am, I left my hse and went back to camp...I only took 1 mrt ride all the way from Yishun to Joo Koon to save money..so I walked from my hse to Yishun Mrt (15-20mins) then from Joo Koon to my camp (15-20mins)...Reached back camp @ ard 6.45am...After changing...then proceed to report for a course that train soldiers to be qualified to carry weapon during guard duty...

Wed: Did preparations for the trial demolition on fri...
Thurs (Children's Day!) : Continued with the course on tues....

Fri: Once again, help out to load and unload stores for the demolition trial...filled and carried sandbags.. tiring but a gd Physical Training session...near the end of the trial, all of us were almost deaD so we began screaming to let our exhaustion out and push ourselves to clear the last few sandbags.....Enjoyed early booked out & reached home @ ard 5.20pm...at nite, facebooked... watched 2nd half of 2009-09-25 超级星光大道第五季

Sat:So far, sent my hp for repair in the noon & helped my ah ma to take away for lunch... in the afternoon till now, played facebook awhile... watched 2009-10-02 超级星光大道第五季.. 歌中劇表演賽... this episode is very INTEresting....it's like a live MTV.. they have to perform a short story whilst singing.. full of emotion, fun,joy n more... here is this week's top scorer [25/25 Full marks!!] (from 6.05 onwards...) :

SAT:Had lunch with some of my friends and later catch for a movie (Accident) in the afternoon. About the movie.. hmmm.. I would say it's really artistic n I believe only a minority would appreciate such movie..It is really very much story based... It was really slow and quite dull all the way as there is minimal action.. not as exciting as expected... rating?.. I would give 2/5... some of my frenz gave 0/5 though.. (no offence here).

Later in the evening, played bball with the usual clique of frenz.. it was a satisfying game.... feel slightly more confident in handling and shooting.. hopefully this can go on... After 10pm, went to eat our dinner/supper at Mac and reached home at ard 12am

SUN:Woke up @ ard 8.30am (not the usual time I wake durin weekends) to prepare myself for Kbox @ Jurong Safra ...The kboxing session was a bit short (only from 11.30am-2pm) but quite fun as I haven't go to karaoke for quite a while...After that, played Left 4 Dead @ Jurong Safra..indeed, the game was gruelsome.. quite glory too with all the zombies but quite used to it le as this 4/5th playing... I personally don't like this gruelsome kinda of game but the game modes and the gameplay are quite good..

Went dinner with family and reached back home @ 7.30pm.. Next up, watched half of 2009-09-25 超级星光大道第五季.. this episode is 歌金曲挑戰賽....a couple of contestants re-make the songs and here is 1 of them that I feel is quite nice:

Boom.. A 4-day week of NS life has passed.. Looking back now, it seems fast.. but during the process, it isn't.. ha. What I did do? I was temporarily attached to another coy to perform admin duties for ARAM (ASEAN RIFLE MEET).. I did that from wed to fri.. and would have to wake up at 5.30am to prepare myself each day...
wed assisted in buying stryofoam board from Tuas.. it was quite a long search as the sir wasn't sure of the location to buy from..
then thurs, the demolition 1st practice began.. helped to load/unload stores.. but too bad, i didn't get see the explosion & at night, i had a 12 hrs (6pm-6am) guardroom duty..fortunately, one guy helped me and another guy to perform duty from 12-4am so that we can sleep for tml morning.....
finally, fri.. together with some others, we were practically doing sandbag drill.. filled sandbag then carried it to a certain pt.... it was quite exhausting due to its weight and doing this for many reps..nevertheless, it was a gd physical training session..
this week is quite exhausting largely due to lack of sleep (zZz).. approx 4-6 hrs of continuous sleep per day...i am feeling tiring as i type this too...... so will sleeeeeeeppp well this weekend to re-energise =) hope to catch a movie, have a lunch with my close frenz or play the usual bball game this weekend...& level up in LUNA online by doing quests, watch 超级星光大道5, maybe Singapore idol & must do some PT too..

Have been subscribing to motivation123 for their daily/weekly quicktips that are sent to my email.....though it may be wordy, the tips can be quite useful... this tip suggests ways to CHANGE A BAD HABIT....it is quite interesting, do spend sometime reaDing & hopes it can help u in one way or another :)

"Have a Bad Habit? Take a Doctor's Advice

Breaking a habit can be as hard as staying awake in an 8:00 A.M. geology lecture. It is, nevertheless, possible. (Or so they say; I could never stay awake in that class.) Perhaps it would have been easier had I followed the doctors' orders below.

1. Recognize your triggers. Our habits are often prompted. Dr. Wendy Wood, a professor of psychology and neuroscience at Duke University, put it this way: "If you regularly eat chips while sitting on the couch, after a while, seeing the couch will automatically prompt you to reach for the Doritos." The couch becomes a trigger.

With this knowledge in hand, the shame-filled snack lover has a new weapon of attack. Instead of relying on willpower to resist the chips, he or she can stop the urge before it strikes by sitting in a different spot--or selling the couch."

2. Snap yourself. Whether it's biting nails or drinking soda, we do bad things for a reason. Though it might be hidden, there's a reward milling around there somewhere.

Brian Wansink, Ph.D., author of Mindless Eating, offers simple advice to take advantage of the fact. "Habits," he says, "become that way because they provide value to a person." To change the habit, take away the value.

Here's his tip: Put a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you engage in your negative behavior, snap it--and snap it hard! (Well, not too hard.) Simple as it sounds, it works. According to Dr. Wansink, "It's a quick way to pair non-reinforcing behavior with the behavior you want to stop."

3. Hang in there. If you're trying to start a new habit, for example jogging every morning, Monika Fleshner, PhD., has good news. If you can force it for two or three weeks, habit will soon take over the heavy lifting.

Here's the science: When you do something such as exercising, something that makes you feel good when you're through, neurotransmission of dopamine is increased.

(Dopamine, if you don't already know, is associated with the pleasure system of the brain. It produces feelings of enjoyment, which motivates the action that triggered it and helps to form a habit.)

The more you exercise, the more you get chemically rewarded. After two to three weeks, your brain will actually crave the activity. You'll be eager to exercise.

Exploring for something new to DO and I createD this...

Have been finding things to do during the weekends of my NS life... have been playing computer games (from 1st player shooting game e.g. Sudden ATtack to MMORPG e.g. LuNa Online, which I've been playing these days)... also, I have been catching the episodes of 超级星光大道5, Singapore Idols.... used facebook for sometimes especially farmville, bejewel & all the quizzes....every now and then, browsing for websites/articles for my possible future courses in Uni (psychology/social work/geography)...finally, i came to thinking that why not create a blOg for myself and ta da, this is created...hopefully, i could write down all e happenings from today & to share any useful, fun, interesting things here...Hope u all like the songs =)..
P.S: Anybody who is playing LUNA online, do tell me :)
